Export Grant for Agri-Food, Agricultural and Agri-Based Exports
Funding of $50,000 for Marketing Abroad
The AgriMarketing Small and Medium Enterprise program will fund up to 50% to a maximum of $50,000/year towards export promotional and market development activities undertaken by Canadian agriculture, agri-food, and seafood businesses. Eligible expenditures include:
- Creation and implementation of market development and branding strategies;
- Incoming and outgoing missions;
- Attendance in trade shows, multilateral meetings and conferences to showcase products to target audiences;
- Technical training for foreign buyers on the handling of Canadian products;
- Promotional activities including advertising, marketing and product demonstrations for international buyers
- Administrative costs, salaries, consultant fees, and project management
- Travel and accommodation fees
Please note that export activities and expenditures to the United States are not eligible for support. Applicants must have 250 or less employees and no more than $50 million in annual sales. Projects must not exceed one fiscal year in duration (from April 1st– March 31st) and all projects are to be completed by March 31st, 2018.
